Details:
The card base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 StampinÂ’Up! Thick Whisper White Cardstock scored at 4 1/4″.
The next layer is a 4 x 5 1/4″ piece of our StampinÂ’Up! Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate. I love that it is Silver patterned on one side and Gold patterned on the other. It comes 12 x 12 and you get 6 sheets of 3 different designs.
The top Whisper White layer is 3 1/2 x 4 3/4″.
I embossed the deer image from the Merry Patterns stamp set in Gold. You can see a completely different look with this deer HERE
A couple of keys to getting a strong embossed image: DOnÂ’t overhandle your cardstock. The moisture from your fingers can grab onto the embossing pwder and create a muddy looking image. Use your Embossing Buddy! It is key to taking away as much of the static as you can. Make sure your embossing powder is fresh. When it gets old it can separate and wonÂ’t give you a clean crisp color. Pour on liberally and tap the cardstock on the table to get rid of as much excess as possible. I like to keep a small soft paitn brush near by for any stubborn powder. Pre-heat your heat gun for 10 seconds so it is HOT when you put it to the powder.
The sentiment, also from the Merry Patterns stamp set, is embossed in Gold as well and cropped out using the Triple Banner Punch
A quick figure eight of Gold Metallic Thread helps the greeting pop off the page.
